the casio va-10 from the early 90s is a mixture of toy keyboard, vocoder and harmony arranger! beside its even for that time cheesy sounds and fx it has a really interesting experimental feature: you can record a simple melody with the basic sequencer and it plays back with a (cheesy) accompaniment with full chord progression depending on the tones you played while recording. you can get really funny and useful results with that strange feature!

yes, another korg! the microkorg is available since TEN years without any changes! that’s really a long time in music technology. a nice little virtual analog synth with that special retro feeling. unfortunately i’ve sold mine a few month ago. a bad decision!

this is a picture of my korg monotron delay. a monophonic analogue (very basic) synthesizer toy with a very lousy ‘space delay’ fx! very lousy doesn’t mean it’s bad at all just… lo-fi! :)) the intention of this handheld little beast is making noise! and it DOES make noise! it’s a terrifying drone machine that brings hours and hours of fun! :))

this is the casiotone mt-65 from 1983. my favorite casio keyboard of all time. analogish drums, analogish cheesy sounds and a top accompaniment section. you’ve got 12 basic rhythms with 4 variations for bass, chord and arpeggio EACH! that gives you over 1500 accompaniment patterns! you can even manipulate the 20 cheesy preset sounds with 2 modulation effects (some kind of adsr shaper) - i simply love this tablehooter!! :D

so this is the weekend of RE-RELEASES. i recently made EIGHT of my older EPs available again. as always for free on bandcamp. the original release dates have been inserted to have a proper time line to see when the EPs originally came out. there have been wishes for specific EPs to be made available again and i hope all your missed hirobleep tracks are now back again. i had the idea to let famous net labels bring out my stuff instead of myself but finally i decided to keep the strings and do it myself. i have apologized to those labels for the drama and hazzle and hope that i didn’t lose some friends by making this decision.

this is the korg monotribe. absolutely my favorite toy of 2012. i created uncountable tracks in just recording live performances with this little machine! it’s a monophonic full analog synthesizer with the legendary ms-20 filter!! including the unbeatable 8 (16) step sequencer and a very basic drum section (full analog) which can be sequenced together with the synth. the possibility of limitless manipulation of sound and sequence “on the fly” makes this toy a veeery versatile beat and bass beast!! a REAL groove box!! :D

this is the korg kaossilator pro, my newest piece of gear! looks like borg technology right out of star trek and it really has assimilated all my senses! :)) it’s a looprecorder and phrase synthesizer that brings pure fun and i used it excessively for the production of my upcoming ep “XYZ”!
